SEAN BUCKLEY

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, U.S. NAVY

Sean Buckley is a civilian electrical engineer with the U.S Navy whose background is in control system engineering development and installation. He recently returned from Antarctica after supporting U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star during its ice breaking operations.

In high school, over each summer break, Sean worked at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia. This program involved getting to work with many engineers designing and building everything from wiring harnesses and controllers to developing software control algorithms.

Enjoying this work, he pursued an electrical engineering degree from the University of Delaware and graduated in 2015. He also continued to work at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Philadelphia.

Upon graduation, he was hired full time by Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia to assist in developing machinery control systems. Since then he has supported and managed many projects that have taken him not only all over the country but to many parts of the world.

In his spare time, Sean enjoys restoring classic cars and metal working.
