REBECCA WILSON

AERODYNAMICIST, MCLAREN RACING

After studying for an MEng in Aero-Mechanical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, with both an industrial placement year and summer placements along the way, I joined McLaren Racing as a Graduate Engineer in 2014. The 2-year rotational graduate scheme allowed me to work across the full life-cycle of an Formula 1 car from concept to design, manufacture and track running. Since finishing the graduate scheme, I have worked as an Aerodynamicist within the mid group, predominantly working on the forward OOR. This role involves concept development and optimization in CAD and CFD with experimental analysis in the wind tunnel and track environments.
