As a member and spokeswoman of the Club Athena, I had the experience of a lifetime at the INDYCAR Gallagher Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. An experience delivered by DHL with Andretti Autosports’s INDY NXT driver, Jamie Chadwick. The Girls at Track a program for girls interested in Motorsport and Motorsport adjacent careers.

We were taken to Cincinnati to tour DHL’s global hub at CVG!
I got to know my man, Doug McKoy really well as explained the tug to me.
It was cool to see how many jobs there were for one task from tug operators to pilots to people on computers in the main building.

The Firestone team taught me how to mount a tire. Fun!
We met the teams with HPD and INDYCAR to learn more about how they bring the race to life.
We saw Romain Grosjean’s car leaving for qualifying!

And spent an entire day just enjoying the race!
What an experience! Everyone I met taught me so much and inspired me to keep learning more and following my dream of becoming a mechanic.
